Literacy: response writing, used novel in Guided Reading lessons
Technology & The Arts: Students developed an in depth understandings of the characters, and then worked in groups to produce a news report. Students wrote interview questions and responses, assigned characters, and then acted out the interview in costume. The interviews were recorded and students used Movie Maker to create a news report with the interviews.
Our class had a sorting ceremony at the start of the term and were put into ‘Houses’ or teams. Each week, the group with the most points got a prize.
